The 1st Children Embassy in the world, Medjasi and SIEC have created a strategy and action plans for children’s rights, with a focus on the street children, together with the representatives of various relevant ministries, social workers, NGOs, secondary schools, institutions, and the city of Skopje representatives.
The documents were created through a prior research and consultative process, based on the input created by an inter-sectoral Working Group, supported by the workshops organized with secondary school children.
During the press conference held on the 31st of January 2023, the children’s rights strategy/ street children strategy was presented by the pupils from secondary schools, who expressed what children need in their city to feel happy and free.
The project has been supported by the City of Skopje and the Slovak Embassy and it is expected that we continue our efforts in monitoring the implementation of the proposed strategy.
