Creating global alliances is important – especially within the Launching of the Decade of Action organized by the United Nations, Global Week of SDGs Action, #ACT4SDGs & #TurnItAround.
SIEC focuses on the projectsregarding education, gender equity, youth empowerment, human rights, anti-poverty and anti-discrimination and has therefore offered support to the Sustainable Development Goals action.
Apart from following the UN online conference via the SDG Action Zone, we have participated in online awareness-raising activities on human rights, gender equity, higher quality education etc. In addition, we have made an SDGs inspired video and have organised a team info session, sharing information and ideas on education, gender equity, social entrepreneurship, solidarity between people and how those fit into the UN Decade of Action for the Sustainable Development Goals.
